A bright, garden-facing suite looking into the camellia hedge and down over the tea sections.
The Camellia Suite looks west into the old camellia hedge, which flowers pink and white from November into March, and over it to the tea sections tumbling down to the river. It is the brightest room in the Main Bungalow in the afternoon, and a favourite of guests who like to write or paint. The bed can be made up as a queen or as twins; a window seat with cushions runs under the long window, and a small round table is where bed tea is served. Like every room in the house it has its own fireplace, lit at dusk from October to March. The bathroom has a clawfoot bath painted the green of the tea, a hand shower, and toiletries made for us in Kalimpong.
